Monday, Jan 5 - Chiang Mai - Temples and Spa
We toured the Doi Suthep temple in the mountains near Chiang Mai which is very pretty. It has a beautiful view of the city. We then toured 3 more temples in the city. I am starting to overload on temples but we did see Phra Sing, Wat Chedi Luang and the Suan Dok gate. It is starting to get warm so we head back to the hotel.
I convinced my mom to go back to the spa with me and have a pedicure. We arrive and it is so tranquil (and inexpensive) that we decide to have a 3 hour session. I have a manicure, pedicure and facial and my mom has a massage, facial and pedicure. I spent $60 US and my mom splurged with a whopping $77 bill for three hours at this heavenly spa!
I think my mom feel asleep that night at 7:30. I stayed up until about 11:30 downloading photos and checking email. We really enjoyed our day of pampering!
